From crazy invincibility wielding codes, to Jumping in mid air as many times as you like, today we are going to delve into Yo! Noid for the NES using the game Genie!
What happens when you take Domino’s Pizza’s most annoying mascot, give him a yo-yo… and then shove a Game Genie into his NES cartridge?
Absolute pizza-based chaos.
Hello friend’s it’s Tim here from Super Mayhem, Awoo, and boy howdy do we have some game hacking action for you today!
This is Yo! Noid — the game where a strange red rabbit man type thing runs through New York, attacks people with a yo-yo and fights for pizza.
Heh, The ’80s were a different time.
But today, we’re breaking the Noid with Game Genie codes!
We’ve got ridiculous cheats, overpowered abilities and hopefully enough mayhem to make Domino’s question why on Earth they commissioned this thing!
So grab a slice, question every decision that led us here… and let’s get into some Game Genie hacking action!
On with the show.
Since I have never played this game I thought I would start off with the code SXXLIGVG which simply stops the timer of the game. This is actually handy as it gives you a little more time to navigate the level and work out how things go in the game. And straight off the bat it is super cheap! Like how did I die here? And then again with this little bit of water? And bam, fish attack! I guess since it is kind of a pizza based game maybe it’s because no one likes soggy pizza? I don’t know. The levels themselves are pretty short but having infinite time to make these rather precise jumps is actually pretty handy!

The next code we will look at is IAKUVGPA which allows you to get more magic from small scrolls. That’s right, this yo yo wielding pizza based game has magic in it, naturally. As crazy as it is this is actually super handy as magic allows you to basically attack everything on screen! Whenever you see a larger scroll you have to hit it with your yo yo attack to unlock a particular magic ability and then you press down and B at the same time to conjure the pizza Gods or whatever and attack! I particularly like how the Noid seems to give the finger when he uses whatever this magic is, but it seems like what I think is the Ice magic is the best as it ensures everything cops it. In this clip I am also using the 2 line code SXKTTUVK + SXKVPUVK which gives you infinite lives! And let me tell you, you will probably need this code as literally 1 hit from anything will kill you! The second level especially is a death trap, look at this crazy thing. You have ice floors that you slide on, ice platforms that fall apart if you stay on them too long, crazy jumps you have to make and even this random guy that starts throwing a curling stone at you if you look at him too long! Your lives will deplete fast so these codes are just about a must have, at least for me! To be fair the game does include continues, and there is even a code like TAXSNZLA which will give you 6 continues, but who wants to deal with that nonsense!

Next up I used 2 codes, the first one is TEVSKPPA which let me start the game on stage 6 of the game instead of from the beginning and the second more interesting one was SZULPTAX which gives you invincibility! And well, the stage 6 was interesting enough on it’s own as it introduced boats and more water into the equation, and it even let me find this weird little whack a mole style mini game that was introduced by a gentlemen holding a trident, but I didn’t do very good at it. The invincibility aspect was pretty cool though! It isn’t quite like Super Mario bros style with the star and killing everything in my path, but rather I could touch and even ride enemies without getting hurt! The problem is they could push you around, I think I died like 3 times to this one friggin’ fish that kept just knocking me off my boat and into the water. It was pretty cool to be able to ride the Bees or even this cannonball which felt like a cheat code in and of itself! It’s a pretty cool combo of game genie codes!
Luckily there is a better invincibility code that is AUSUAIEL and this one actually kills enemies when you touch them which is way handier and more fun to play with as well! I also used the code ZEVSKPPE to this time start on stage 10 which was a lot better than stage six. This level had some weird enemies like this guy with an eye patch who literally hurls bricks at you! On top of that he runs away from you and just throws his bricks from a far! It’s like, far out bro, no wonder you lost an eye! Other guys piff bottles at you and some lads even kamikaze out of windows using shovels as pogo sticks! You have got to love the NES and it’s zany character ideas. I also did find a new type of magic ability also in the 11th stage! When you use it the Noid turns black and can jump way higher for a short period of time, pretty cool! Anyway this invincibility code is much more satisfying to play with but it does mention that you can still die on the skateboard level, which I haven’t yet come across, and I am guessing if you fall in the water you are doomed as well. Still, cool code to try out!
Next up we have a 2 line code that is OXNLGNSU + XVNLTNVU and when you enter in these 2 you will always win the Pizza Game in 1 to 3 turns! What is the Pizza Game you may ask? Fair question. At the end of certain levels, it seems to be odd numbers from what I have seen, you are challenged to a pizza eating contest by another Noid who claims to be the regional champion. He has clearly ascended in life. As far as I can tell this is simply a number game where you have to select a higher number of pizza’s to eat than the opponent selects and get your pizza counter filled before his. The number of pizza’s required to win does increase in later levels but I personally found the whole thing to be a bit of a pain in the butt so this code was awesome! It does glitch your pizza a bit but basically I won first try with this 2 line combo enabled which ended up giving me a ton of points and an extra continue so I guess that’s worth something. There is also another code I didn’t try that is SAULZYVG that is meant to give you infinite time in these pizza games, which I guess can help if you aren’t the best with numbers.
In this clip I also discovered the skateboard stage is level number 3 and sure enough you can still die even if you have the previous invincibility code enabled, but most of the time you can cruise through and jump on enemies anyway. It’s a fun level for what it is and the invincibility does still help!
I was a bit sad when I tried the code GAUGILAE as it was meant to enable a different intro for the game it was re-spirted from called Kamen No Ninja Hanamaru which was a Japan exclusive game, but alas, it didn’t seem to want to work for me! Not really sure why as others have reported that this code does work, so maybe it was my version of the game or some other issue, but you can try this at home if you have a copy yourself and see if it works!

Next up I used the handy code GEVSKPPE which let me start on stage 12 of the game, but I also combined it with probably the most fun code that is AEUGSKTZ and when you enter in this bad boy you get Multi Mega Jumps! Essentially this is the classic NES or SNES style code that allows you to just hit the jump button continuously to kind of float around or save yourself from pits or whatever your heart desires! This was particularly helpful in stage 13 where it is a vertical scroll level, so I could pretty much just float to the top. I was kind of hoping there would be some epic Pizza demon as an end boss, but no, it was a lame pizza eating contest in which was I “creamed” by this other Noid character and then got a game over. I mistakenly thought I had beat the game because a kind of cool end sequence was shown, but it turns out that that this is just the intro scene of the game explaining what was going on. Oh well. I think they missed a good chance here but maybe he comes after you beat the pizza contest? Maybe someone in the comments knows what’s up!
So, All in all this is an interesting game that does exist but probably shouldn’t! But I am glad I tried it out and got to use some game genie cheats along the way to help ease me into the Noid universe and the pizza eating mayhem. It’s Probably not a game I will personally be going back to any time soon though!
